I have purchased four complete sets of Akebono pads for three different vehicles. The first was a 99 Volvo wagon to stop brake dust issues with oem pads, worn out after 60,000 miles. I started washing the car once a month instead of once a week and got 150,000 or more per set. Brake dust is a lighter color and there is less of it. Currently, my 03 Expedition has 180,000 miles on a set with 20% to 25% of the pads remaining. Rotors look great with about .040" wear. I will not buy another brand again.
