I got these hoping that they would produce less dust than the Mercedes OEM metallic pads. They don't! I put Akebono ceramic pads on my wife's car and they definitely put off far less dust. If you want low dust then go with Akebono.
I still recommend the EBC pads, as the performance is excellent. I do feel a bit more grad than OEM pads. Quality is high. I can't speak to the longevity of the pads yet as only had them a month.

I bought EBC ceramic brakes (not the red ones) for my BMW and they were GREAT...virtually eliminated the brake dust problem on the wheels while improving brake performance. I bought these for my Mercedes for the same reasons. The details say low dust, but even though they are better performance from the OEM, the brake dust is about the same. I think I will keep looking for a brake pad that gives me the performance without the heavy dust.
