My truck has a bent frame so I was able to bolt this on through the bottom bolt holes and then mount the bumper. Once it was in the correct position, I marked the upper bolt holes with a paint pen. Then I removed the brackets and drilled holes. Mounted the bumper and all hardware and tightened all at once. Then removed bumper and welded the bracket to the frame like it was from the factory.
