Hi Philip,
Yes, the part is made of plastic and it is primed finish so that it can be painted with the same color as the car. We don't do painting on our body parts and only ship them primed. We suggest having it painted locally so they can correctly match the shade of your paint.

Answered by Aldrin P. / Sun, Dec 20i just received bumper cover from them, and it is primed and comes with the ends of bumper folded in to it's self , for shipping, your going to open and let it sit in hot sun, or warm place for 24hrs min. to get the kinks out of corners. with that said , the bumper fit well and looks good after assembly and refinishing . and it is soft flexible plastic (recycle) and primed surface makes for a quick scuff and seal top coating of your choice. good part for money and looks good

I bought this bumper and a front fender and tail light and all the parts looked good and fit perfect. I would suggest laying the bumper in the sun for a bit before installing it so it’s a bit more flexible. Not a necessity but it does make it a little easier to install.

This is the actual rear bumper, an original direct fit replacement. The old one must be removed to install the new one.
