Question: There are four clips that secure the pad to the bumper. They break when the old pad is removed. Are these clips included with the step pad? If so, could you supply a part number for them and possibly a picture?James F. / Apr 22, 2022

Hi Will,
Some bumper step pads get fixed in place by pins and tabs that run underneath the bumper. As per checking, this item does not come with installation hardware. We suggest getting those locally through a local auto supply store.

Answered by Grace G. / Wed, Dec 02There are 4 screws with nuts that slip into recesses on the pad bottom. The screws go thru the bumper and are secured with nuts from below. There's also 4(I think) plastic studs molded into the bottom of the pad that snap into place. Unfortunately, according to my body shop, screws always break off when removing due to corrosion, and the pad from Carparts does not include the screws and nuts like when you order from a Ford dealer. Ford does not sell just the fasteners. They are quite unique. My body man snapped it into place and it's still there. Way more expensive from Ford!
