Hi Fallon,
The impact strip is the black molding that goes across the bumper. If your vehicle has impact strips or moldings the bumper will have small holes as provision for the moldings. You can reach out to your local dealership parts department for your vehicle specification.

The impact strip was a piece of black plastic attached to the bumper. If you have that plastic piece you need bumper with those attach hole, if not, you need bumper without the holes.
