Hi Jeff,
The bumper comes primed (ready to be painted). A lot of our primers have rust preventive properties. They will stop any rust from adhering to the surface or will kill the rust. There is no legal requirement to paint the bumper. Although, small scratches and dents will stand out more than when painted.

We installed the bumper the way it came from the supplier 15 months ago and still no sign of rust, yet, and in Florida weather.

Question: I'm look for a bumper without fog lights for my 1998 Ford f150 RWD. This looks very similar, mine mounts to the brackets with 4 bolts each side and then 2 bolts from the bracket to the frame on each side. Do you think this would fit?Gaven774 / Jan 14, 2024
