My car has two catalytic converters that code exactly the same. First time, it was Converter B, second time it was Converter A. Only the second time there was confusion and I thought it was B failing and the Warehouse replaced B. Because the clerk who processed the claim was not a mechanic - that person didn't catch that the diagnosing mechanic said - in mechanic language - it is Converter A that is bad. It cost me $100 to replace a good converter! And they lost an entire part for nothing. Well they gave me $50 of it back and they are looking at their protocols.

When I receive this item, I almost send it back. It looked like the first project this guy had ever made. Even the inside looked fishy. My son, who is a mechanic, didn't want to install it. It is poorly made, no quality control at all. I guess you get what you pay for.

The product fit correctly and was, as any exhaust system part, relatively easy to install. It does not come with the gaskets but with care the old gaskets can be reused without a problem of leakage. The only recommendation I can make to anyone doing this replacement is to purchase a new set of the spring mounting bolts before you begin as they will likely not be usable for the reinstall.
