The converter did match pretty close to the original. This was being installed on a 2012 F150 EcoBoost, after it took what felt like forever to get the old one off, I managed to get the new one in place only to find out that the holes on the flange didn’t line up just right. I had to find a drill bit that would widen the holes and test fit it and keep widening the holes until that part fit. Then the other end that slides into the pipe wouldn’t fit in, after playing with it and unbolt the clamp as much as possible I managed to get it inside the pipe at least. I hammered the elbow of the pipe to get it to go in but I had to stop to not damage the metal. It ended up working but I had a small exhaust leak. I went to auto zone and got this special muffler tape that fixed it. My job might not be perfect but I paid about 180 for the part, I’ve seen them for 400 just for the one converter or a 1000 plus for a whole new exhaust system. It was kind of a hard job but I saved money.
