Fit was spot on. We had to do a little fiddling because a thief cut the pipe in odd spots. If a catalytic converter is ever needed again this will be my go to. Also great price and fast shipping.

The SET-EAST30498 is for 2004-2005 Ford F-150 new body style with Federal emission design catalytic converter while the SET-EAST30494 is for CA Emissions design, with base Payload, under 8500 lbs.

Answered by Robert C. / Thu, Jan 14Question: can I eliminate converters? I live in a county that does not have emmission checkingAlbert D. / Feb 22, 2021
Hi Albert,
Are you in Iowa? Iowa does not require state emission checks and it’s common to encounter individual vehicles emitting excessive amounts of CO. I personally would say, no to that. Before you decide to eliminate the catalytic converter, please read this article about the dangers of carbon monoxide poisoning caused by driving without the catalytic converter. Saving a few hundred dollars is not worth the danger it will impose on human lives.
