Ordered for my 2001 4Runner with california emissions (2 cats). The flange has a pipe in the middle that exceeds and inserts into an opening on the headers. I believe that this piping sticks out too long, and caused a pretty gnarly gap between the flanges (OEM cats has a flush seal). The predrilled holes on the new Cat flange did not fit the header studs and caused some issues. Had to extend/widen all holes for it to even allow the studs to insert. 1 Week later and it is still holding up well. Pretty happy with the outcome, and some modifications are expected as it is a 25+ year old car.

Question: Can the catalytic convertor on a 2006 PTCRUISER LTD,

There are a variety of reasons that a vehicle can overheat, such as cooling system leaks, blocked hoses from corrosion and mineral deposits, radiator issues, or broken water pumps. We highly recommend having the vehicle diagnosed by a certified mechanic to determine what part needs replacement.

Answered by Grace G. / Mon, Mar 22Simply put yes whether you have one or lack it yes it will cause it to overheat so will the O2 sensor, camshaft position sensor, water pump spark plugs and thermostat...best bet have someone look then let them fix it if you aren't skilled because that small engine is a B****!!!
