Hi Melissa, The attachment style to install this is bolted on since it has flanges on the inlet and outlet locations of the catalytic converter.

Unit is a bolt-on but needs to be cut and reformed and welded to fit Ford Explorer.

The cats are already welded to the pipes.you will only need 1 -2 1/4...to put the center together..I welded mine but thats the size clamp you will need
