Ordered for my 2001 4Runner with california emissions (2 cats). The flange has a pipe in the middle that exceeds and inserts into an opening on the headers. I believe that this piping sticks out too long, and caused a pretty gnarly gap between the flanges (OEM cats has a flush seal). The predrilled holes on the new Cat flange did not fit the header studs and caused some issues. Had to extend/widen all holes for it to even allow the studs to insert. 1 Week later and it is still holding up well. Pretty happy with the outcome, and some modifications are expected as it is a 25+ year old car.

Answered by Jeonino E. / Thu, Feb 24Yes, both cats are welded in. Can’t remember if the bolts come with it but I believe they did. However the old bolts came out very easily from my old jeep (205,000 miles). But pretty sure it came with new ones. If not, the bolts are push through and secured with a nut. They aren’t threaded into the flange. So, worst case, you can pick up new bolts at any auto parts store. Just take the old ones and match them up.

Hello! If the rest of your exhaust is original, than the gaskets are definitely needed to prevent exhaust leaks and rumbling noises.
