This is for a 2002 Nissan Sentra XE, and noticed there was a 'mesh' filling the inside of the to-be-replaced existing catalytic converter cores. My understanding is that this 'mesh' is a substrate that converts noxious exhaust to less harmful emissions, and I do not see this mesh in the photos for the referenced part. This part is a direct fit front manifold type of Catalytic converter(for 47 state use only). This comes with the catalytic substrate built inside. This is also a guaranteed fit for your 2002 Nissan Sentra XE 4 Cyl 1.8L. That is backed up by a 5 year warranty as well.
