I was quoted $1000 at a local muffler shop to completely replace the manifold, and two cats on my daughter's 2001 Camry. Because she is a poor high school student I decided to purchase this manifold cat combo from APW and save her some money. It came nicely packaged and delivered on time. The first thing I noticed was how roughly welded the manifold pipes were to the manifold. It almost looked like it needed a dremel to smooth out the rough edges to allow the exhaust to flow smoothly from the engine out through the exhaust. During install the manifold did not line up easily with the head and needed a little rubber mallet adjustment. When I tried to bolt the heat shields back on some of the holes were missing and the others not lined up. After about three hours of messing around I had it installed. I started the car and it literally sounded like a lawnmower with a bad exhaust. At this point I am not messing with it anymore and take it back to the muffler shop. They inspected and what did they find? One of the header pipes had never been welded all the way on at the factory. So it had a large hole where the exhaust was escaping. So...the shop had to remove, reweld and machine and $400 dollars later the car passed emissions. So...don't think this discount cat system will save you money. It won't. APW was great. Since I had it welded they could not provide a full refund. But they were kind enough to listen and provided a $100 dollar refund. a++++ APW. A big fat fail for this product.
