Magnaflow 1997-2001 Honda CRV-HM Cat is a Winner!Catalytic Converter, 2.0L, 4Cyl, Federal Epa Standard, 46-State Legal (Cannot Ship To Ca, Co, Ny Or Me), Hm Grade Series, Direct Fit
5.0/5
I purchased a MagnaFlow 1997-2001 Honda CRV-HM Cat as a replacement when installing a 1320 Performance Stainless Exhaust and its a Winner! The Stock Honda Cat was 27 Years old, and its shield was band-clamped on. The O2 Sensors were original and (probably) clogged. The MagnaFlow Cat HM HighFlow is 2" mates to the 1320 Stainless 2 1/2" Exhaust and adds a nice purr to the sound. The Denso O2 Sensors I purchased work great with the MagnaFlow and I've never had such low Upstream & Downstream Numbers with a new Catalytic Converter. I'd Highly Recommend buying the MagnaFlow Honda CRV HM Catalytic Converter!

the honeycomb housing looks short from the original. I bought the car way back in California, so since Im in NJ its allowed that much i guess. We'll see in the long run. I bought it Oct 2015

Good fit. (The Bosal bolts with springs fits the header to cat attachement. The remaining 2 bolts fit the muffler connection) However the 3 holes on the cat flange, you need to improvise. I didnt find the 3 flange bolts here. They have different hole diameters between cat and the pipes.

Well made catalyitic converter. Installed by dealer who would have charged 3x for the factory part. Fit perfectly with 4 bolts (and gaskets you provided.)

Question: Is there any difference between this one and the California compliant version or are they the exact same?vai / Dec 03, 2024
Hi Eduardo, thank you for reaching out. There are differences between a California-compliant catalytic converter and a federal emissions-compliant catalytic converter. The overall performance affecting the emissions, design, certification, and legal use are a few differences between the two types of catalytic converters. Please call our parts team at 1-866-529-0412 and provide the complete vehicle details and emissions information. We'll be more than glad to help you look for the correct part. Have a nice day.
