Question: On this catalytic converter # 445009 will fit on my 2001 gmc Denali on the driver side as smog station says that’s the side that was illegal and needed replaced ?Michael L. / Mar 29, 2021
Hi Michael,
I'm glad to help you out.
This is not a direct replacement for the 2001 Denali. This is a universal fit converter that will require cutting and welding for installation. This should also match the EFN (Engine Family Number) VGM5.0HPG1EK of the vehicle that is found under your hood on the Vehicle Emissions Control Information (VECI) label. We still advise installing direct-fit catalytic converters on vehicles for better fitment and results on emission.
