I will start off with this: yes, you do have to modify this and also weld it (see pics attached). The box didn’t come with instructions on which way to put it on, so we assumed the breather hose faced towards the exhaust. The cat does good for what it is, and at least now my car can be used as a daily driver if someone wanted to register it as one in the far future for smog purposes.
