My 2006 Limited Ford Explorer 4.6L V8 was throwing some p0420 and p0430 codes indicating a bad catalytic. Ford wanted to charge over $2k for a new cat. I came to <a href="http://carparts.com" target="_blank">carparts.com</a> and found this for a great price. I ordered and I will say that I was not impressed with the way it was packaged. I know it doesn't come in retail packaging, but the part was literally just thrown in a box, no bubble wrap or peanuts, nothing protective on the parts. the box was damaged and had a hole in it. However, I gave this to my mechanic to install and apparently the direct fit was not an exact fit. He said he had to do something else to make it fit (mechanic wizardry). However it is was installed and i also replaced the o2 sensors as well. All went smoothly and now the car is passing the obdii tests and not showing any codes. Overall i think the packaging could have been better, but the part seems to have resolved the issue so i am happy as of now.
