Answered by Aldrin P. / Wed, Mar 24When taking apart the front suspension on a 350Z, you will find that there are more than a couple of "balljoints". 1 Lower balljoint that fits into steering knuckle, a balljoint from compression rod, and a 3rd.... "balljoint" from outer tierod. These 3 balljoints all connect to front steering knuckle. Now, the only balljoint that you can purchase separately is the lower balljoint that is pressed into steering knuckle from the bottom. The compression rod balljoint comes preattached, pressed in by manufacturer. I believe that you cannot purchase the balljoint compression rod separately. It comes pre attached. If you are referring to REARWARD balljoint in front suspension, then that means you are referring to compression rod. You weren't referring to rear suspension right?
To change compression rods, you have to take off underlying wing that attaches to front driver and passenger sides. This means that whole front end has to be on Jackstands.

The frontward has a straight design, while the rearward is more of a curved design (like the letter C). We have a 4-piece set with part number SET-REPI281507-4.
