Question: how do you install the passenger right side turn signal lens cover 2007 jeep patriot?randall k. / Sep 28, 2020
Hi Randall,
We recommend referring to a trusted vehicle specific repair manual for step by step instructions. You can find more information here: https://www.carparts.com/blog/why-you-should-always-consult-a-repair-manual/

I have a 2014, yours should be the same.
Remove wheel, remove fasteners (5, I believe) and screws (4?) that hold inner plastic wheel well liner. Bottom screw at rear is not necessary to remove- just loosen it. Remove inner wheel liner. Reach way in and up, and twist CCW to remove light socket. Use T20 torx on a 1/4" ratchet extension (it's a long reach) to remove three screws that hold housing. Housing will then slide out the front. Mine was full of water. I sealer and replaced it, but next time I see fogging, I will buy these. On the driver side, you will need to free the wiring harness from a brace to gain access. Including sealing and meal break, it took 4 hours at a leisurely pace. Could be done in three hours easily.
you will need a tool I call a dandelion digger. It's made for popping out fasteners with a flat, forked, curved end. I bought it at local place years ago, bit I'm sure you can find it elsewhere, perhaps here.
To pop out fasteners, use 2 small flat screwdrivers and ease into the little recesses (2), and work the center part out gently until you can get your fastener tool under it to gently pry it out. Center parts are tricky, but they slide easily when no tension is on them- not so easily when they are installed though.
You cannot cheat and leave the wheel on, etc. I tried. Very satisfying job to complete.
