Beautiful, this fits right over the dash perfectly. I just wish it came with the defrost vent louvers already in or even as a separate part. That is what dry rotted on my 1991 Chevy Silverado. Install was pretty easy, even for a 69 yr old lady!

This is attached on top of the existing dash by the silicone adhesive which comes with the kit. You can also view the online step by step instruction found in the manufacturer's site Coverlay.

Answered by Jeonino E. / Sat, May 07Yes, it glues to the original dash board that often cracks in the 2008 LR3 model. I purchased it for my LR3 a few years ago and it worked great. Haven't had any issues since and I live in Florida where cheap glue will turn soupy in the summer temps, so that says something for the quality.

Hi Gayland, I'm pleased to assist you. There is no such great force used to trigger the airbag to deploy while installing the dash cap. it will only deploy in a collision. The dash cover should fit snugly over the entire dash. First, clean your existing dash and the underside of your new dash cover. Practice putting it in place with tape. Apply the silicone adhesive provided in your kit to the underside of the dash cover around the edges and vent holes. I have this cover and it’s three pieces. One large that goes over most of the dash and then two separate pieces that go over that passenger airbag area. So if deployed in an accident it would pop off like the existing panel.
I’m really happy I purchased this. Makes my old LR3 look good again. 👍
