The door on my 2005 Prius would not stay open very well. A light breeze could blow it closed. I replaced the door check hoping that would do the trick. It is a little stronger now, but not what I had hoped. The part itself arrived promptly and in excellent condition. I just wish it held the door open better.

Yes, a door check functions to stop the door at in between positions as well as at end position. Check with your local mechanic for installation.
