Question: 2005 Chrysler Town & Country Touring with Power Lock sliding doors. The locks have stopped working when pressing button or by pressing key fob. The locks will work manually. Do I need actuator for sliding door on driver side and passenger side (middle row/rear)? Is it this part or others?Michelle M. / Jan 27, 2021
Hi Michelle,
Aside from the door lock actuator, there may be other parts that could cause the issue. We highly recommend to have the vehicle diagnosed by a certified mechanic to pinpoint what part needs replacement.
This item fits the 2005 Chrysler Town & Country.

Answered by Aldrin P. / Wed, Jan 27I’m not a mechanic or anything but first things first, I would check your fuses and the relay boxes under the hood and in the car if there are any ( normally there is a box of fuses in the car and one under the hood) if those are all good I would recommend getting the actuator however each sliding door has its own actuator so if both doors are not working you would have to get an actuator for the left side and the right side.

Answered by Elizabeth G. / Wed, Jan 27Best to remove the door panel, very simple to do and you can find videos of this on the web easily,to watch for movement of the acuator when pushing buttons. more than likely it is the actuator as I had a bad one for years and when the other one started making a noise like the game "operation" I changed both of them.
