this weatherstrip was an exact replacement of the original and very easy to install. The truck cab is nice and quiet now, no more road noise. The music sounds better and now my wife and I can have a conversation without raising our voices (unless of course we have taken a wrong turn or something)

This weatherstripping was a direct replacement and installed easily in place of original weatherstripping.

Hi CW, I'm glad to assist you. No. This is pushed inward the body edge flange to fit snuggly to the body door opening flange edge. This is a U shaped body door flange molding. Answered by Jeonino E. / Sat, Jun 05It fits in the track and groove around the door. You have to manipulate the seal and pull it tight for a good fit. Fitment around the front of the door and dash is a challenge. It takes some work but it works well.
