Hi Bowden, I'm pleased to assist you. This is one of the rear driveshafts for the 2003 GMC Sierra 1500. I need more information. is your vehicle manual or automatic transmission? RWD or 4WD? What is the wheelbase? You can reply to me or call our Sales Team at 1-866-529-0412 for further assistance. Happy holidays from CarParts.com!

Be careful and do your research. I bought a driveshaft for my 03 silverado 2500hd 4x4 regular cab long bed last year , car parts said it was a guarenteed fit but it showed up a foot too long. We are metal workers and cut it down and rebalanced it, but this was tedious work. Just be careful and make sure you know what you are getting before you order.

Answered by Seth P. / Fri, Dec 30Question: I’m confused—Both this 76” compressed length drive shaft & other brand 68 1/4” length drive shafts are “guaranteed to fit” on my 2001 Chevy Silverado 1500 extended cab 4x4. This doesn’t make sense—can you clarify?Asher J. / Feb 17, 2022
Hi Kristoffer, I'm pleased to assist you. Yes, that is correct they are both guaranteed to fit (68 1/4 and 76). When Chevrolet manufactured this year and model of the vehicle, they (Chevrolet) used different sizes of rear driveshafts (there is also 43-1/4") for the 4 x4. If you are not sure about the length, we suggest calling the dealership with the VIN to ask. Let me provide you with the link for all the options of driveshafts we have available for the 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. Once you are certain of the length, click on the link below to see and order the right one for the vehicle at discounted prices while supplies last. I hope this is helpful. Enjoy shopping at Carparts.com!
