I didn't install the part myself but my mechanic said it fit perfectly. That's definitely what you want to hear. The part is working well and it's nice to have a place where things are more affordable. The tracking and communication were great as well

Question: Hi I got the Drive shaft, matched the PEM patt number but the drive shaft is 2" too short? Help?Daniel / Mar 13, 2021
Hi Daniel,
The fitment details says, or matching - with General Motors 5L40-E Automatic Transmission, Production Date: up to March 2001. Please check if your vehicle's production date is below march 2001. If your production date is way past march 2001, this driveshaft is not compatible. But if your production date is before March 2001, this would be compatible. Please check the notes as well since the length is indicated on the parts description as well.

Answered by Jeonino E. / Sun, Mar 14Check if your car has the ZF or GM transmission. The E46 3 series (made from 2000-2006) came with two variants of transmission, some with ZF and some with GM. To find out you must look up the vin. Try realoem dot com or checking online or at the dealer. Hope this helps.

This is the whole rear driveshaft assembly already with the center bearing support for an RWD/2WD drivetrain fitment. The image is application specific and that is all that you would be receiving, a complete assembly ready to be installed.

The center bearing for the driveshaft I see we have available for your car is with part number TMHB3039 on our catalog listing. I am not aware of the part number you have ordered form a different company or us, but you can check the one I provided and compare if it is the same with what you prdered. The best way to know specific details is to call your local dealership for any data about it(provide your VIN number). Or a trusted vehicle specific repair manual for your car is also helpful.
