Question: My 97 GMC sanoma pick up was starting to get a little weak on acceleration so I replaced 3 plugs & 3 wires (1,3&5). Nothing else was changed I drove up I-5 , noticed I was lacking power and shooting flames out the exhaust pipes . I pulled over to find glowing red cat & muffler. What has happened to do this, is it Abad egr ,mass air flow or CPU?Garyb / Feb 27, 2021

There are plenty of possible causes to the issue. We highly recommend that a certified mechanic diagnose the vehicle to pinpoint what part needs replacement.

Hi Elizabeth,
The gasket is not included in this part. We do carry the set of the EGR with the gasket (based on the same part) it is part number REPG509202. That is the EGR valve with the gasket.
