No hardware - funny storyFront Engine Splash Shield, Base Model

Fast shipping, perfect fit, at an amazing price. Had to knock off a star because there was no hardware included, nor was there any available to purchase. Im inexperienced with DIY maintenance like this and learned a valuable lesson in the importance of using the proper hardware. Here i thought it was no big deal… I was able to salvage a few of the original fasteners — but most were rusted or damaged behind use. I then found some random screws/bolts layin the around the house to finish the job - fastening the splash guard back into place. However, this didn’t last long and the back half of the guard detached. So then i used some zip ties I had on hand to secure the guard back into place. Nope. It got cold out and the back half was detached and hanging. Found the proper hardware on amazon…. I was going to finally finish this job as I should have from the beginning lol but….. NOPE! The damn zip ties actually cut thru the hardware holes of the splash guard! So now, the splash guard is in my garage because my mechanic said it’s unusable :( I realize that it was my inexperience that damaged the splash guard. I get that. I take full responsibility for that. But for those of us who are new to the game… I would just suggest that the hardware be included with the part, be available to purchase separately, or at the bare minimum offering the buyer some guidance when they ask about the hardware. I KNOW it’s not your responsibility to ensure the parts are installed correctly…. Again, I take full responsibility. All I’m saying is from a customer service/satisfaction standpoint I personally would want to ensure that if a customer asks about the hardware necessary…. that I can personally have that available for you…. Or that I can at least provide you with info on where to get it. May seem like a no brainer to y’all who know what you’re doing lol but for me, at the time… my thoughts were… oh, so there’s no special hardware required. This is no big deal—I have a plethora of random screws bolts and fasteners. I’ll figure it out! Lol Nope. Too little too late…. Damage was done. Now I need a new splash guard lol

Unfortunately I cannot remember if the one I bought came with the bolts because I did not open the shipment box. I gave the box containing the shipped part to the body work guy/mechanic that was to replace the part.
