I was sent the wrong part even though I verified it was right on the website and put in all my car info. I have been trying to return it for over a week. The company attempted to tell me my email I was wrong but they send me at least 2 marketing emails a day so that can't be true. I emailed and called and still have not gotten the information to return this "guaranteed to fit" part.

Yes. The engine splash shield protects the engine compartment from water and dirt. In some cars, the engine splash shield redirects the airflow over the components that need to be cooled down, such as an oil pan or alternator.
