Hello! Assuming yours is currently missing, then this can't hurt, but stopping heat isn't what this part is designed for. Are you missing any other trim pieces along the firewall? This is a bit random, but is your HVAC system set to outside intake, or re-circulation? In the meantime, you could try re-circulation to see if that helps at all?

As per checking, the item does not come with any hardware. We suggest getting those locally through a body shop or dealership.
