The material is a bit thinner than OEM, but it is reinforced with metal tabs at the lower connecting points, so it worked just fine. Excellent price.

Not an exact fit (the oil filter hole is in the wrong place, as usual), however, the item is of decent quality. The plastic is brittle, and the side supporting pins arrived broken, but this is not a biggie. For its price, you can use it.
Does not come with the hardware.

Hi, Yes, this set of engine splash shield is compatible with the 2008 Mazda 3 GS 4 Cyl 2.0L. Though, I do not see on the vehicle selector an option for he 1.6L as you provided. I would recommend contacting your local dealership with your VIN number if you are not sure the options your vehicle came with.

Answered by Grace G. / Fri, Sep 18Yes. And don't listen to people who say the hole for the oil filter access is in the wrong place, the O.E. shield from Mazda is exactly the same. It's offset so you can reach in and turn the filter housing to remove the filter cartridge.

Answered by Grace G. / Wed, Oct 26I think the Mazda 3 and Mazda 5 splash shields are the same, but I don't think the Mazda 6 is built on the same platform as the 3 and 5. In any event, on my Mazda 5, there was one more splash shield just behind the front spoiler. The large splash shield in this kit attaches to that smaller splash shield (sold separately), and the two side shields in this kit hold up the left rear and right rear sides of the large shield. Hope that helps.

As per checking, this item does not come with installation hardware. We suggest getting those locally through a local auto supply store or the dealership.
