Didn't notice a difference in sound at all with this installed. Usually everything I get from car parts is excellent. It definitely does its job and it looks appealing but I guess I just expected more for the price :(

The muffler, pipes, hangers and clamps are all well engineered and seem to be high quality. It only took 30 minutes to install once the old muffler and tailpipe were out of the way. The Flowmaster 50 has more of a rumble than the stock muffler. If you want quieter you may want to look at their 70 series.

Install went GREAT. After install I went to a local shop and had them seal weld all the joints just to complete the system.
The one clamp at the rear of the muffler was stubborn and didn't want to tighten enough to secure the system from rotating. I might have been able to keep wrenching on it, but my plan was to have it welded anyway. The system sounds GREAT!!!

Installed easily on 2wd reg cab. Kit includes extension for extended/quad cabs. All mandrel-bent tubing.
I welded this kit with my cheapo hobby welder. Having installed several exhaust systems in the past, i can say *especially* with a flowmaster (because of flowmaster noise cancelling technology/all other brands just slow the air down to silence it) you NEED to have it welded properly with no leaks. The kit comes with clamps and you might get lucky with no leaks, but in my experience you'll never have the intended flow and sound without welding.
Great kit; well worth the price because of the care flowmaster put into designing it properly.

After about 2 hours of cursing and cutting, I finally got the old rusty system off my truck. Then a very triumphant 30 minutes of install of the new parts fit perfectly and sounds great. Love that low rumble!!!!
