Of course this not for the zhp, but I got it anyway. Pretty good and easy install throughout, was with technician friend when installed. Required some slight modification of rear mounts with o rings for height,, slight tapping and rattling at idle with load (aka ac on or turning wheel w power steering) but could be worked out with enough effort, and is not bad at all. that is my doing not magnaflow. This is my first exhaust and ‘mod’ I’ve done, and it’s fantastic. The stock 330ci’s exhaust (even zhp) are completely quite below 6k. This isn’t the loudest exhaust ever made, even after 4 months of dailying the car and 2,000 miles, but it is great. Sounds great at start up, good noise, throaty, and balances out well. Through rev range it starts low and rumbly and quickly screams. It is raspy, but with these cars that is to be expected, especially if headers are in play. The tips look good, little inwards on bumper but the looks great when cleaned up. It sounds aggressive, and above 3-4k it completely changes tone and is a rasp and noise monster. This is my first mod to my zhp and believe it completely changed the feel, driving dynamics of the car, and looks. I hope one day to get active autoworke catless headers, which will actually increase power. I do find the end of the system past the muffler being a single tip spitting into to a bit odd, but it is a nice looking ‘uneveness’ if you will. By that I mean they aren’t equal distances, that you can see from the photos above. I don’t agree with the other reviews about it ‘sounding weird.’ It’s a little odd to do it, but it definitely does not negatively affect sound in any way. What to expect with this: -better sound throughout rev range -big ‘ol smile rev matching and free revving -rasp (once again part of car) -x pipe and increased diameter in catback so is a solid start and supporting mod. -Quality unit, normally fast shipping, good welds and packaged very professionally and safely. Don’t expect: -Power difference. With headers and tune with catback, probably 20+ hp , but don’t tune with just catback. -The same noise level as ‘race’ or ‘competition exhausts.’ It isn’t loud loud until above 3k or if your foot is in it good. Everyone I know with modified or swapped exhausts are louder. But this is great, and if headers are done, it will be plenty loud. I was comparing exhausts between this and the borla equivalent, but the borla has the stock 2 inch diameter, this 2.5 borla doesn’t have x pipe, magnaflow does. The borla is also more expensive, and at time of install (Jan 22) they were always months out of stock. I would choose the magnaflow again, given the lower price, added benefits, X-pipe and larger diameter; even if the borla was in stock. Lastly is shipping. Normally you should expect good shipping from everything Magnaflow. Every forum page and everyone I’ve heard from has said that. I ordered about two days before X-Mas, so I am not going to blame them for taking about a week given all the holidays in that time frame. Overall, this exhaust is great, quality, very great value, and a fantastic mod by itself or as a supporting mod. Car is a 2005 ZHP 330ci coupe 6mt sparkling graphite mettalic. *disclaimer: zhp=sport package. It does fit and work but will have to be more open minded with slight issues given some annoyances that could be fairly easily fixed with enough effort, and the rear exhaust mounts that I would suggest replacing.

Everything fit together perfectly, actually took longer to pull the old exhaust out than it took to install the new one. Sounds like a classic magnaflow relatively quiet but has a nice bark when you put your foot in it. Shipped very quickly and arrived way sooner than anticipated. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5, and maybe this is me, but the new exhaust seems to hang a bit too low for my liking making it impossible to reuse the center exhaust support. It’s on an ‘02 BMW 330i so space under the car is already limited. Otherwise I couldn’t be any happier with it, I absolutely love it, it’s not raspy and doesn’t sound like a rice grinder, it was exactly what I was hoping it would be.

System is well built and should improve exhaust flow for a performance increase. Installation was straight forward using OEM hangers/brackets. Dual inlet/single outlet muffler sounds weird at higher rpm. Dual outlet muffler (instead of dual outlet tip) would sound better but possibly require bumper modifications.
