I have an 08 tahoe and when I purchased it back in 08 I was 32, hell I wanted it to growl, so I bought a magnaflow 4"round muffler and cut the resonator off and slapped one of their nice tips on, it was loud and I loved it, best sound I've heard on a truck. Fast forward, long trips, the drone, have to ride with the radio up loud, it really sucked. My wife said it was too loud, so I bought this. I'm still getting use to it, but I really like the tuned sound. Nice rumble when you crank it, nice tone when you are riding, no drone on the highway, and when you get on it, there's a nice growl. Pics of the old set up, a little janky but it worked, no leaks, just really loud. So I highly recommend this system for the money, it is very nice and perfect for sound enthusiasts that don't want drone on the highway. If you don't mind that magnaflow's 4 or 5 inch round straight through muffler is a perfect pairing for your LS. Gives it a very loud muscle car sound. You can't go wrong with either. I think I had about 400 in the original set up, 100 for the tip, maybe 200 for the muffler, not sure, and 100 miscellaneous, but about half the cost of this, but this was well worth the money. Hope that helps.
