had a 2014 civic ex battery drain for over a year. Turns out it was the driver side door handle doing things it was not supposed to do. Replaced it easily and battery is just fine.

Aldrin P's answer may be true for HIS car, but he should have made that distinction instead of assuming that's the case for ALL cars. His answer may be labeled "best" but it's not accurate.

Answered by Aldrin P. / Sun, May 14make sure the pin/rod is seated correctly in the fork. its hard to see, its behind the mechanism, use a mirror to look behind. once that is seated correctly the door will open
