Question: 2004,Chevrolet Trailblazer LS 4.2L engine, call  me at my friend ordered the passenger side primed fender I paid him but he put is information in ,I did everything it said lighted with fine sandpaper I went over it lightly so the paint would stick then  I put a thin coat of primer let dry an put the heavier coat on next day I put the clear coat on I don't know what I did wrong its dullthe edges are smooth an shiney,but I put my hand across it it was rough dull an felt like I put my hand over sand paper the edges were perfect,what went wrong,my number is at the top,what did I do wrong?May N / Jun 27, 2021
Hi May, I'm glad to assist you. Please consult your local auto body paint shop for the painting procedure of this fender. We don't do painting on our body parts and only ship them primed. I hope this helps. Happy shopping.

It could be several factors causing this outcome. Paint quality, and the manner it was sprayed could be the main issue. It could also be the fact that you didn’t sand after every layer (Prime, Sand, Paint, Sand, Clear coat, Sand) I personally ended up spraying a rust inhibitor on the panel and just wrapped it with vinyl, but it’s something I do on a regular basis so I’m comfortable doing it.
