No. If you are painting a light or metallic style color you need to reprime the product to a white or light gray primer. Otherwise you are going to be putting down about 5 coats of color in order to hide the dark primer and match the rest of the vehicle. Discovered this the hard way. And I used to do full classic car restorations, engines, electrical, body work, etc.

I think they’re all pre-primed with a black primer. I put a beige paint with a satin finish over mine and had no problems.

This fit my 09 civic sedan pretty well. I'd give the fit an 8/10. The bottom left tip where the through-holes are located bent inwards a bit more than I wanted. Otherwise it looked good.
