Answered by Arnel E. / Thu, Apr 14Its about the bulb not the housing. Find out the wattage of the factory bulb and buy a performance brand like PIAA with a higher wattage rating. Sometimes this dose not make a huge difference… factory fog light wireing is low wattage(27watt). You could reaim the lights higher, most fog lights are aimed to low from the factory.

Answered by Chad B. / Thu, Apr 14Use the factory fog lamp housing and replace the bulb with a brighter Led style I’ve done that in several applications where the customer wanted to retain the factory lamps but needed better light from them.

Answered by Vernon B. / Thu, Apr 14Question: My Legacy doesn't have factory-installed fog lights, so I'm assuming there isn't any factory-installed wiring or plugs behind the grill to plug these after-market replacement fog lights into. Is there an available wiring kit (plugs, wiring harness and some sort of dash-mounted switch, I assume) for making these fog lights work after the lights are installed?Dennis T. / Feb 10, 2022

We do have a kit for the 2010 Subaru Outback for models without factory-installed fog lights. It may fit you are willing to do modifications. As per checking, this item does not come with installation hardware. We suggest getting those locally through a local auto supply store or the dealership.
