Question: I received these injectors but they measure 14.5 ohms rather that 2.5 ohms per spec for 1986 Porsche 944 low impedance injectors. Can u confirm the fitment and explain the deference in resistance?Wayne C. / Oct 20, 2022
Hi Wayne, I'm glad to assist you. These fuel injectors are direct-fit parts for the 1986 Porsche 944, 2.5L and 3.2L. The impedance is not specified on our catalog listing since it conforms to the OEM fuel injector specifications (low to high is within tolerable limits). High-impedance injectors are often found in street applications. They use a “saturated injector driver”, in the ECU, which is more cost-effective. High Impedance injectors usually measure 10-14 ohms. Low-impedance injectors, also called peak-and-hold injectors, are sent a stronger electrical signal of around 56 amperes to open. Grab our sale price and click the link below to buy these today.
