This fuel pump control module has better design than original Ford manufacturer. Where Ford places it, on the frame above the spare tire, it gets all the weather elements; water, ice, salt, road grime, etc. The original just corroded away because it was bolted directly to the frame. This new one is designed to stand off from the frame thus allowing no buildup of dirt between unit and frame. If your Ford truck appears to have bad fuel pump symptoms, check condition of the module first; it's a lot easier and cheaper to fix and the most likely culprit.
