New Problem CreatedFuel Pump, Electric, With Fuel Sending Unit

Installed the new pump to solve problem of long cranking time on initial engine start. That problem is solved. However, the fuel level sensor is defective. When I fill the tank, the fuel gage reading stays the same until next shutdown and restart. Then it goes to full.
The gage goes down to 1/8 full as the car is driven and then the tank is empty. I have run out of gas once until I learned of the inaccurate fuel gage reading. How do I obtain the one year warranty service??
