Question: Doesn’t the pressure sensor tells the fuel level on the dash?Kevin D. / Nov 12, 2020
Hi Kevin, The fuel sending unit or the built in fuel level sensor float on the fuel pump assembly is the device that detects the level of fuel inside the tank and it indicates either full, half or almost empty capacity on the fuel gauge on your instrument cluster panel.

I bought this unit for my 03 Buick Lesabre when the fuel gauge stopped working, fuel pump was ok but long starts so it was going to go out soon anyway, I installed this myself and haven’t had any issues since.

Question: Will the factory electrical plug fit on this fuel pump or do you have to change it with the one that comes with the pump?Kevin H. / May 21, 2021
Hi Kevin, I'm glad to assist you. This socket plug connector of this fuel pump would plug in straight to the vehicles wiring socket connector. The extra socket connector is a back up plug connector if the socket does not match with each other. Please click the link below to order this part today. I hope this helps. No it would not fit the factory plug but it does come with a wiring kit but I found it easier to switch the plug off of the old fuel pump and everything popped in place and it works like a charm. I am highly satisfied

Question: This says it does not come with a pressure sensor, is that something I would need or does it not need that?Justin S. / Nov 11, 2020
Hi Natalie, All vehicles have a fuel pressure sensor, it senses the amount of fuel in the fuel rail by reading the internal pressure of the rail. It can then send an electronic message to the PCM telling it precisely how much fuel needs to be released into the engine. If the one on the vehicle is working fine, then there is no need to change that part.

Question: my 04 buick lasabre doesn't have the upgraded fuel pump how do I upgrade?A Shopper / Nov 20, 2020
Hi, I would recommend the Airtex brand with part number AFE3518M. This is a premium brand with lifetime warranty and much durable for an upgrade option. Please click the link below to see it. https://www.carparts.com/details/Buick/LeSabre/Airtex/Fuel_Pump/2004/Custom/6_Cyl_3-dot-8L/AFE3518M.html

The only necessary upgrade is to splice wires as shown in the instructions. Very easy to follow and takes no time. 2001 Cadillac Deville DTS
