Beware of LengthFuel Sending Unit, 8 Cyl., 6.0L Engine

The sending unit is the correct type for my truck but it is too long for my truck’s tank size. There was no option based on tank size and it seems that this was made for the largest tank Ford made for this truck.

It depends on the vehicle application. There are vehicles that have a fuel pump inside the tank. To check using the vehicle application, please enter your vehicle’s year, make, model, sub-model, and engine type, and type FUEL in the search box, it will show you the parts under that keyword. Once your application is selected, you’ll see a “Guaranteed to Fit” badge if the part will fit, and we recommend that you also double-check Your Vehicle Fit Details as well as the Vehicle Fitment Information table on the product page.
