Question: On or about Oct. 1 I placed an order for a locking Gas cap for my 2000, F-150 (Harleigh Davidson) pickup truck. The order# CPZ360684167 which should have been a tethered locking cap "without the threaded body and paid $58.40
. I was sent a tethered locking gas cap with the treaded body. The numbers on the box is FC-935 and F67Z-9030-DA. It does not fit because of the threading. I sent an email stating that the gas cap that was sent does not fit but have yet to receive a response. Am I suppose to take this as meaning the guarantee to fit does not apply?Bob Rivers / Dec 24, 2020
Hi Robert,
This stant brand says on the product fitment- "without threaded filler neck..". This will not work since you need a locking threaded type . I found a Gates brand with part number gat31734, this is threaded type and with VIN "Z" on the first 8 characters of your vehicles VIN number. If you no not have a VIN letter "Z" on the first 8th characters of your VIN number, this is not compatible. Please click the link below to see it.
