outer grille is bare plastic and must be painted. Grille insert is bare also and must be painted. its not installed so painting is easy. My old one was good so I reused it, it just snaps in.

Yes, it is all black. The honeycomb grill can be removed if you want to leave it black & paint only the bezel

This worked great on my 2002 F150 Harley edition, which is the XLT body style. I had a body shop paint it and they installed it for me too, in about an hour!!!
