I have a 2008 F150 XTL and the chrome plastic finish on the grille shell and insert was bubbling. The Ford dealer told me that this was a manufactured flaw and was not covered under any warranties so I thought that I would get this replacement at a much cheaper price than an OE. This grille insert and grille shell look like the original and it is hard to tell that it is a replacement for the original.
However, there were no instructions on how to put the 3 pieces of the grille together and there were 2 little rubber pieces (edging type) that came with the grille insert that I could not find where they were to be fitted.
The grille insert had a scratch/gouge on it up in the passenger side corner. I suspect this was done during the packing stage. It is noticeable from 5 feet away but I can live with it. Make sure the product is perfect and inspected before being packaged and shipped.
There are small gaps between the insert and shell unlike the original, again, I can live with it.
Overall, I am satisfied with the product.
