Ordered this switch for my 1997 Suburban. It was a perfect match to the OEM switch and replacement was easy and smooth. Snap out the old, swap the wiring plug, snap in the new and it works as expected.

Hi Dave,
This is just for the headlight and dome light dimmer function, not for the instrument cluster light functionality.

Answered by Jeonino E. / Tue, Sep 29The wheel on the side of the switch "does" dim and brighten the "dash" light bulbs. The "button" turns the automatic "dome" and under dash lights "on" or "off" upon entry into and out of the vehicle.
