This part was the more budget friendly selection in a list of similar replacement headlight/console dimmer/dome override switches. The description for these switches did not provide adequate detail to explain the difference between the other similar, more expensive, parts.
Regardless, I placed my order for the least expensive switch from the availability choices.
I was able to install the switch without any issues. The electrical connector fit perfectly.
Having tested all of the functions of this multi-function switch control I verified that all the controls functioned in the same way as the original part I was replacing.
The only issues with this part, albeit minor, is 1) The detents for the headlight control knob do not index as precisely and crisply when rotated as the original part. 2) The headlight control knob/dial feels considerably more rough when rotated than the original part.
I also tested the "push 4 times" function of the Dome Override button which disables the Daytime Runing Lights. That function works as expected.
Overall, considering the functional performance and cost of this replacement part, I am happy with my purchase.

Question: Does this control daytime running lights? I replaced both bulbs and does not work. Headlights and turn/parking lights stay on during running.Bart R. / Mar 19, 2022

Answered by Grace G. / Sat, Mar 19Could be the light sensor in the dash near the windshield. I sort of remember changing out the switch/controls in question and it didn’t help. Got a new sensor and thing were normal again. But I don’t like the running lights on all the time. I’d rather just be in control manually. The wiring/sockets get all burnt out and brittle.

Answered by Arnel E. / Wed, Oct 05Actually you might just try the “thumb wheel” on the right side of the switch. It controls the brightness of the instrument lights and will shut them off if “rolled” to one end or the other.
