Missing a dimmer. But it works for headlights.Headlight Switch

This switch is a good fit. It looks and feels like it has the same quality as the original. It performs it’s main function correctly- lights on, lights off.
However, it does not include a dimmer for the instrument panel.

It worked fine, but the original switch for the 1998 dodge 1500 has one more connection that was not on your replacement part so had to do a little diy to get all to work.

Answered by Grace G. / Thu, Dec 31No bracket. The threaded part which receives the actual knob plunger is inserted through a hole from behind the dash and there is a nut to secure it on the cabin side of the dash. It holds secure like that.
